We object to this proposition due to the lack of infrastructure surrounding the area and the lack of access is the current road network this plan is too far out of town to be feasible and needs serious reconsideration. This site is an uphill walk out of town which will lead to many preferring to drive rather than walk and as such add to the traffic in an already congested town

Further large developments in the areas suggested in the local plan will mean total chaos in the traffic in and around the high street in Berkhamsted. Parking in side roads already makes it impossible to travel safely and the proposed new parking in Lower Kings Road will be totally inadequate if 1.000 new homes are built. The car movements generated by more building will produce gridlock. This is not a question of NIMBYISM; Berkhamsted and the infrastructure cannot cope. I realise compromise has to be made but more attention needs to be made for the facilities required.
